Tutoring
Sound Start WA offers one-to-one tutoring (or small-group tutoring, on request) between 7:30am and 6:00pm, Monday to Saturday, in a homely environment in Duncraig, Western Australia. Tutoring sessions typically take one hour but can be reduced for very young students. An individualised learning plan is designed following assessment of strengths and weaknesses and identification of goals. Wherever possible, a team approach to program design is taken (i.e. with input from family, teachers, specialists). Progress is reviewed regularly and a written report provided, on request. Students can be provided with materials/resources for skills practice between sessions.
